FAQ about Sigenergy
Technical questions about installation, configuration and operation of Sigenergy systems.
Before installation, the installer must register at sigenergy.com/de as an installer. Additionally, the MySigen App must be installed on the smartphone. With the installer account, you can then log in and carry out the installation.
Yes, the hybrid systems require online access both during installation and permanently during operation. Without an online connection, the system shuts down automatically after 30 days.
A Wi-Fi stick is supplied as standard. Alternatively, the integrated LAN port can be used for a direct LAN connection to the router.
The EnergyController is the actual hybrid inverter as commonly understood. Only this system can be used as a hybrid inverter with connected PV modules and batteries. The term "hybrid inverter" in the Sigenergy catalog refers to a "Battery Ready" inverter that is installed with a wall mount kit and operated as a pure PV inverter. Only through a paid update does it become a hybrid inverter to which batteries can also be connected.
In this case, the AC wallbox may only be connected to the router via LAN/Wi-Fi. The RS485 cable is not connected. It is only used when the wallbox is operated without a Sigenergy hybrid inverter/EnergyController and with a smart meter.
The DC charger has the form factor of a battery module and is integrated into the system in exactly the same way. The charging cable has a length of 5m. It makes sense to set the system up directly at the parking space, which is also possible outdoors thanks to the heated batteries and the IP66 protection. As there is currently no industry-wide standard for bidirectional charging, the firmware has to be adapted individually for each car manufacturer. A compatibility list is available from PVSelected.
FAQ about Hoymiles
Technical questions about the HiOne All-in-One BESS, HIT Series and other Hoymiles products.
The Hoymiles HiOne is an all-in-one battery energy storage system (BESS) that combines a three-phase hybrid inverter, modular LiFePO4 battery storage and an intelligent energy management system in one compact device. Available in power classes from 8 to 20 kW.
Per battery module 8 kWh. Up to eight modules per inverter, resulting in a maximum of 64 kWh. The modules are wirelessly stackable and can be expanded later.
Yes. Each module has its own bidirectional DC-DC converter. The SOC is balanced automatically – new and old modules work together without any loss of performance.
0 milliseconds – true UPS function. Inductive loads such as air conditioners or washing machines continue to run seamlessly during a power outage.
Yes, the HiOne is IP66-certified and therefore completely waterproof and dustproof. It can be installed both indoors and outdoors – without an additional enclosure.
Hoymiles offers the S-Miles Cloud as a monitoring platform. It lets you monitor energy flow, system performance and battery status in real time – via web interface or app.
FAQ about SOFAR Solar
Technical questions about SOFAR hybrid inverters, battery storage and accessories.
The current transformers should be mounted with the arrow direction pointing towards the public grid.
Yes, that is perfectly possible. The electricity produced by it is also charged into the batteries of the hybrid inverter. The smart meter at the grid connection point registers surplus electricity and prompts the battery to charge accordingly, regardless of the power source.
A second smart meter records the energy produced by the string inverter on the AC side. This smart meter is programmed to bus address 2 and integrated into the communication bus of the hybrid inverter. To do so, the communication cable to the first smart meter is extended (pin 24 to pin 24 and pin 25 to pin 25).
The latest firmware can be downloaded at sofarsolar.eu. The files are compressed and must first be extracted. Then copy the files to the corresponding folders on a USB stick. Important: the folders "firmware" and "safety" must remain unchanged and be located in the root directory of the USB stick.
For setup, a password is required at several points. This is either 0715 or 0001.
The PowerAll ESI4.6 is a single-phase hybrid inverter that provides full three-phase support for self-consumption with a three-phase smart meter. The three-phase smart meter must be ordered separately. Pin assignment: PIN24-PIN6 (ESI) and PIN25-PIN7 (ESI). A firmware update to version V040022 or higher with safety code 0902 is required. After that, the three-phase smart meter must be activated in the advanced settings.
Yes, SOFAR inverters have type 2 DC and AC surge protection.
If a residual current device is installed for hybrid inverters, a sensitivity of 300 mA should be used.
The smart meter is installed at the grid connection point. Current transformers: arrow direction towards the public grid, red connection cable at the bottom, black on top. For a directly measuring smart meter: input (grid side) at the top, output (inverter side) at the bottom. The correct phase assignment must be strictly observed.
In the advanced settings, activate "Force Charge" and set the forced charging time to 3 hours per BTS battery module (2 batteries = 6h, 3 batteries = 9h). If the batteries have not been charged to 100% for 30 days, the system charges once from the grid. This is done for battery maintenance and balancing. If the charging time is set too short, the system does not have enough time to reach 100% at 6A.
