The HiOne integrates a three-phase hybrid inverter with up to 20 kW nominal power, modular LiFePO4 battery modules with 8 kWh each (scalable up to 64 kWh) and an AI-powered energy management system in a compact tower design. The internal wiring is pre-prepared at the factory, the modules are stacked wirelessly. Hoymiles states that the HiOne system requires around 20 % less floor space and 50 % less wall space than comparable setups made of individual components.
0 ms backup: why it makes the difference
One of the most important specifications of the HiOne is backup switchover in 0 milliseconds. Unlike conventional storage systems that need 10–20 ms to switch over during a grid outage, the HiOne acts as a true uninterruptible power supply (UPS). This is especially relevant for customers with sensitive loads such as IT equipment, air conditioners or medical devices. Combined with the optional HiBox gateway, even the entire household supply can be backed up.
Future-proof through modular battery concept
Each HiOne battery module has its own bidirectional DC-DC converter. This architecture not only enables automatic SOC balancing, but also free combination of modules of different ages.
